Today we join with students to go to Sirindhorn Science House, I think this is a part of Children’s Day Celebration. There student can learn all about science with a fun way. They also play games and get a reward.
Staff there give us a paper that we don’t understand because it’s writen in thai haha, but I see that if we come to one stand and the other stand, we just give that paper and the staff will sign it. We can get a rewards, the rewards is depend on how many sign we have. So, more we come to stands, more sign we get and more rewards we can get 😀
Today is Buddhist Day. After flag ceremony, the students give their foods from home to the Monk. Also, we give 5 baht and for the return we got this key chain. They do this once a month. So, if you give 20 baht, you will got 5 keychains.
We go to school at 8AM and attending the flag ceremony. It’s amazing! because they have marching band for the ceremony, they are students from prathomsuksa. After the flag ceremony, we introduce our self to teacher and student. I’m so nervous at that moment hahaha 😀
They didn’t do the flag ceremony at school dome for today, because there is a sport festival. Students also do meditation everyday, it is a part of the ceremony. This is the song for the meditation:
This is my first day come to school and observe the class. My teacher mentor at Watpangiw School is Ms. Christine. Today I observe class K.1/2 and K.2/4. Both class is using english (of course this is english class haha), but teacher sometimes using thai language (at Ms. Christine class) and body language at Ms. Brina class because she cannot speak thai. Ms. Christine is from Phillipine and Ms. Brina from Germany. So many foreign teacher here, but almost from Phillipines.
After the orientation from VRU, we are separated and move to school dormitory. Me, Mia, Ariani, Catherine, and Al will move to Watpangiw School. It is a primary school but also have kindergarten.
We arrived at Samkhok School, Ajahn Neung and Ajahn View accompany us to the school by van. We have to met the school director for introduced our self and our purpose to be there. Because Samkhok and Watpangiw is nearby, students who will teach in samkhok will also live in watpangiw school dormitory.
While waiting for the director, I see the students practice dance. I have see this in drama, so this is my first time saw it live, it’s so interesting
At the dormitory, we also have buddies from China. They also teach in Watpangiw, they teach Chinese for kindergarten and primary. We have 5 Chinese buddies, Evelyn, Eleven, Maggie, Max and April.
Flight from Indonesia to Thailand is about 3 hours. My flight from Soekarno Hatta Airport is at 9AM, and we have to transit to Kuala Lumpur first. So Malaysia is my second country I’ve visited even though it is only transit at the airport haha.
After we arrived at KUL we have to wait for the next flight. after we arrived at the airport we are looking for money changer to change rupiah to ringgit Malaysia bcs we didn’t change rp to bath before we come there. I’m a little bit chegrined bcs I didn’t change my money to rm too at GMC when I changed my money to baht and dollar haha. never mind. There is a lot of free Wi-Fi in the airport, YES! So I can connect to the internet and chat with my friends in Indonesia. Not long after we know that the flight is delayed for about 1 hour, we have to wait for a little bit longer. we pray (shalat) while we wait for the next flight.
We arrived DMK on 7pm, there is a little bit hard to find free Wi-Fi, bcs you have to register before you use the Wi-Fi. not long after, I have to go to the immigration for my suitcase. before I take my suitcase I have to fill the departure card. Me and Mia met Chicha and Jaka from UNP at the immigration. After we take our suitcase, we met VRU buddies and Ajahn Neung that will pick up us to the dormitory.

We use a van to go to the dormitory, in the van we chitchat a lot of things. Ajahn Neung tell us that he have been in Bali and Surabaya for one week October last year. Arrived in dormitory I can’t connect to the internet bcs I haven’t buy a SIM card either there is no Wi-Fi so I can’t tell my family that I have been arrived in Thai.

I sleep in the room number 106, here is my dorm. I’m a little bit scared bcs I still alone at that time bcs my roommate from Phillipines will be arrived here at midnight so I have to be brave haha.

This is my first time going abroad. fortunately I’m with Mia, so I’m not alone fly to Thailand. I like when the airplane is flying through the sky. It feels like you are in the cotton candy, looks very smooth and I wanna touch it hahaha.
