Watpangiw School teaches students from Kindergarten or Anuban and Primary School or Prathomsuksa from grade 1-6. I’m teaching in English Class for Kindergarten Grade 2 (grade 2 in Kindergarten Watpangiw School has 4 classes; 2/1, 2/2, 2/3, 2/4) and also English Club at Class P.1/1. (Grade 1)
Watpangiw School have an English Program for Prathomsuksa. The building for Prathomsuksa English Program and Kindergarten is in front of our dormitory. Student and teacher using english as a second language and also for the instruction. Teacher in english program mostly from Philipines, but of course they have thai teacher in every class. One of the thai teacher’s role in class is helping foreign teacher to communicate with students. Because even it is an english program, not all student can understand and speaking in english.
Different from Prathomsuksa, Kindergarten have no English Program, but they have english class and chinese class. Students in kindergarten learn english three times a week and chinese once a week. There is 2 foreign teacher that teach English for Kindergarten and also as my teacher mentor; Ms. Christine and Ms. Sabrina. Kindergarten have 6 class in total, 2 class for grade 1 (K. 1/1 and K. 1/2) 4 class for grade 2 (K. 2/1, K.2/2, K. 2/3, and K.2/4).
